The end of week one...

OK, So it is the end of week one, with quite a good week behind me.  I found that with working out, comes massive energy, and I have become very productive... As soon as I finish working out, I realize everything else that I could get done... So, my house is benefiting from this as well.  A by-product I am very happy about.

As of Friday, I was down 2 pounds.  But, I did notice that I was very bloated with massive cramps, and a fever to boot.  Not sure if I was trying to come down with something, or if it was just the nasty PMS monster... but needless to say, I wanted chocolate :) .

As for the weekend, it started out well, but Matt (my husband) and I went out to dinner.  I did very well, despite all my efforts to deviate from the diet.  I ordered a steak and baked potato, with the salad bar.  This was probably a mistake as I am actually very picky about my steak... I like it  pink but not bloody.  Well, my steak came and it was definitely pink, but also saturated with blood.  So, they took it back to be cooked for a few more minutes.  When the brought it back, it could have passed for leather.  So, they took it off our bill.  So, I had the salad bar for dinner... which actually hit the spot, and filled me up.  So, I ended up not going off track too far.

Well, tomorrow starts a new week, and hopefully I can keep it up! Hope everyone had a great weekend, and a great week to come!

The Begining...

Here it goes... I'm not sure who, if anyone will read this, but in an attempt to force myself to complete this self appointed challenge, I'm going to blog about it.

To start off, I suppose I should start off at the beginning.  I don't know how I let myself get this way.  I'm 5'6" and at the end of high school in 2002, I weighed 135 lbs.  I was a very active and energetic cheerleader.  Now, it is 2011, and I weigh a whopping xxx lbs.  Not my finest moment.  About 2 years ago, I managed to lose 35 lbs in the 5 months preceding my wedding.  So, this is proof to myself that I can do it again.  I know, weddings always make the bride lose weight, but again, I have some incentive.  Not only do I want to look better for one of my closest friend's wedding and not look like a cow in my dress, but my husband and I are going to North Carolina for vacation in July (this is the real reason I want to lose weight) and I want to be confident in my bathing suit.

So, I went to Walmart, and stocked up on the things that I used before, the DVDs, the tools, and the food.  So, here is my plan:

1. Start off by cutting my calorie intake down to 1800 a day.
2. Work out with a dance workout, and a body boot camp workout, alternating each M-F with sat and Sunday off to spend time with my husband.( He works 2nd shift, so I have the evenings to work out and not have anyone watching me)... Plus we split wood and help my parents clean the barn on weekends, so it won't really be days "off" so much as a different kind of workout.
3.  I have a pedometer, and am going to see how many steps I take in a "normal" day and then try to to do at least 25% more steps everyday following.
4.  Eat 6 small meals a day including breakfast (which I usually skip)

These are my 4 starter steps and I'm sure more will follow as I actually put these into practice.  Every day I am going to weigh myself, but only am going to record it every Friday.

If anyone has any suggestions, any constructive criticism, or any words of wisdom, I am more than happy to hear them!  So, wish me luck, here goes nothing!
